Consequently pearl earrings, pendants or bracelets that are made from this type of pearls are slightly cheaper and the Black Tahitian is more expensive. In the beginning Japan produced most of the cultured pearls and culture technology was practiced here more than anywhere in the world. China has taken over and now they are the leading producers of cultured pearls commonly known as Akoya pearls. Although Japan has stopped producing pearls they focus on the processing of pearls. After the pearls go through production, they are weighed, separated according to shape and color and it is after all these is done that jewelry is designed from these pearls. These pearls are made into pearl earrings, bracelets or pendants depending on what people want. Although pearl ornaments do not come cheap, shops that sell them offer great discounts for customers who are interested in owning jewelry made from pearls. Pearls make excellent gifts for friends and family. They make great gifts for your anniversary, a birthday or any other special occasion. Pearl rings make great engagement rings; they are simple, pretty and very elegant. Pearl necklaces whichever length that they may be, are very charming and compliment dinner outfits or suits. Most pearls are white in colour, which is a neutral colour that can be worn with almost everything.
