Corbo Studio is now run exclusively by Teresa Mazzei, a 30-year fashion industry veteran. Ms. Mazzei understands great clothes and great service. Although this is still very much a high-end fashion boutique, it is priced better than some of the other Yorkville destinations, making it an ideal possibility for the budget-minded fashionista. As Coco Chanel once famously noted: “fashion fades, and only style remains the same”. Corbo Studio has been a Yorkville staple for some time, and the designer lines it carries are always a manifestation of perpetually great style. At Corbo, attention is paid to modern, urban tailoring and great, timeless design. The elegant décor inside has a distinctly relaxed feel that seems to fit with the ethos of the store. It’s a warm, friendly place where feeling comfortable is a priority. A well-tailored collection of high-end designers and the most sought-after labels bear the DNA of its hip, downtown customers. The fashions, which are by a wide variety of internationally recognized designers, are more of the casual variety than what you might expect from a Yorkville boutique. Cocktail dresses, pencil and full skirts, cashmere sweaters, silk tops and blouses, coats, jeans, shoes and sandals. Modern style collections and designers. Colourful dresses by Clu, relaxed casual wear by James Perse, a wide variety of shoes by Now and Fabio Rusconi all work together to create an environment of stimulation and fun. Instead of carrying a plethora of denim lines, Mazzei has edited it down to the ultra hip Acne from Scandinavia and the über cool New York brand Habitual. Dressier options include delectable jackets from L.A.`s Robert Rodriguez. In addition, the boutique always features the latest show-stoppers by Michael Kors, Judith & Charles and Seventy. Some of the current collections featured at the boutique include Acne, Ash, Clu, Donald Pliner, Filippa K, Ian, Kors, Line, Majestic, James Perse, Robert Rodriguez, TWS, Seventy, Barbara Bui, Suzi Roher, Twenty Cluny, Virginia Johnson, Want Essentiels de la Vie, Michael Kors, Filippa K Shoes, Improvd, Twenty8Twelve, Judith & Charles, Izma and others. Called one of the most exciting and cutting-edge boutiques in the city, Corbo Studio refreshes the collection every season. Fashions from the store appear regularly on Canada’s Next Top Model, The Toronto Star, Toronto Life, Fashion Magazine and other media outlets. Recommended in the Toronto Life Annual Shopping Guide. Proximity of Corbo Studio to the famous Yorkville and Yonge & Bloor shopping districts means the fashionable and famous don’t have to wander far to find the coveted items they are after.
