Pregnancy is associated with the normal symptoms that include nausea, morning sickness and vomiting while pregnant. However, it is important for a pregnant woman to be able to notice some signs that may be abnormal and not treat them as normal symptoms of pregnancy. In such instances, the woman should seek the opinion of a qualified doctor or midwife to avoid complications that may even cause fatalities in later stages. In addition, ones doctor should alert her of potential problems that are specific to pregnancy for her to her to be able to monitor herself from time to time. The doctor or midwife should do all the routine tests and screening so as to detect possible and potential problems. This should be done throughout the pregnancy in order to reduce any risks associated with such conditions.. By carrying out urine and blood pressure tests as well as other necessary tests, the doctor is able to determine the risk category the pregnant woman falls in. Nausea and dizziness may be considered normal symptoms of pregnancy but can also be associated with other conditions hence the need to get the opinion of a qualified doctor. Problems like back pains in most cases are considered normal alongside vomiting while pregnant and morning sickness. However, they can cause miscarriage or preterm labor. Back pains can also be caused by kidney or bladder infection and cyst. Another common problem is pelvic or abdominal pain. It is normal for a woman to think that due to the fact that she is carrying a baby in her wound she is obliged to feel pain in the abdomen and pelvic area. As much as this may be normal, it may also be caused by cyst. This condition may lead to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy and abruption. Other common symptoms are gushing of fluid from the vagina. Women may treat this as normal yet it may also cause preterm labor, preterm rupturing of membranes and even miscarriage. Severe headaches and blurry vision are also mistakenly associated with morning sickness and nausea yet such symptoms point towards Pregnancy Induced Hypertension (PIH) and Ecclampsia. This condition is dangerous and may eventually lead to miscarriages and even death of the pregnant woman. Regular contractions prior to 37 weeks may cause gastric upset.
