It is better to opt for silk, wool or cotton material as they are stronger than synthetic. The second one is the knots per square inch. In this case; the more the knots, the better the rug. Flaws in the rug are a welcome sign since they indicate that the rug was handmade. High pricing usually indicates that the area rug has quality.
