The Middle East population is projected to grow to 434 million by the year 2015. Today, there are ever 45 million internet users from that region. This number is sure to grow with the population. The most internet usage in this part of the world comes from the countries of Iran, with 23 million users and Saudi Arabia, with over 6 million users. Having a Middle Eastern search engine makes it easier for the people of that area to find information from that region without a lot of useless sites to sift through.

There are several Middle Eastern search engines to choose from. These sites focus primarily on the life and culture of the people of that area. Since different parts of the world have their own set of beliefs and their own way of doing things, a search engine that is designed for that region would better serve the users there. General areas of interest can be business, religion, and socializing. Someone from Iran running a search on a search engine that focuses on the Middle East for a local restaurant will receive better results than if they ran a search with another engine based out of a different part of the world.
