There are very many universities around the world that analyze their new freshmen based on their scores in their exams. In USA, students fear SATs, which are exams that the universities base their evaluation on. What they do not know is that it is not that hard to pass it, especially when it comes to the SAT vocabulary. Therefore, students should not fear the exam as it is actually quite easy to get a good score. It is normal for students to fear an exam, but it should not be like that. All you have to do is be prepared, and if you are always ready you do not have to be afraid. There are various ways through which you can enhance your vocabulary. The first thing to remember is that you should not cram as it will not help. Many students try to cram for their exams, and mostly they do it in the last minute. This will definitely cost you a lot and therefore, I repeat, always be prepared. If you try to learn a sequence of words, it is more than likely that you will forget. What I mean is that the words will not stay in your memory. However, I am not saying that memorizing is completely useless. It is easy to memorize when you start months before the SAT. You can get inspiration from a few Christians, who memorize a whole book of the Bible in just a few days. Apart from that, Muslims have also been known to memorize the full Quran. This they do from a young age. All books that have guidelines on how to pass an SAT have lists of words that are necessary. Getting a book like this will definitely help you in your preparation. These words are not only comprehensive or understandable, but they are also easily learnt. Perhaps to be clearer, it is better to concentrate on the words on the word list as they are more likely to enhance your learning effort. This is far more beneficial than learning word in random. Although these word lists are a good guide, over-reliance on them can lead to your peril. Always remember that an SAT test is an exam that deals with your command of the English language and due to this fact, diversity is possible. Every day you come upon new words, and these words could also be of help. Remember that even though you have these word lists at your disposal, you should start learning the words' months in advance. Try to make your goal to learn 10 to 12 words a day. I am not saying that it will be easy. If you find it hard, you can lower the goal to 6 to 8 words. The final thing that you have to do is to carry out your own test. Try to see how many words you have used over the week and see if you can use them in different contexts.
