To have a competent workforce, you need professional staffing. This allows you to get candidates who qualify to fill the specific posts you have because they have the experience and the training for the part. This will reduce the costs of training because the recruiters will assess the qualifications of the candidate adequately to ensure that the individual has worked in that position previously or has the skills to work for you. The cost of training burdens the company’s budget because you require trainers, the venue, the training material, which might be produced by the company’s resources, and the time spent on this venture. Most of the firms have to train individuals when they recruit them but you can avoid all that. For instance, if you have a new machine, instead of employing an operator you have to train, the recruiters will look for an individual who has worked with the machine before. In addition, this method avoids the nasty experience of go slows and demonstrations if the work duration ends. Unlike other methods, these candidates are informed by the recruiters how long their contracts will last and they have no reason to bother you once the contract ends. The terms of employment are indicated clearly on the agreement form and the person can only go to the agency to request for assistance in getting another job when the current contract ends. In addition, using the agency for professional staffing will reduce the cost of having internal recruitment personnel in the human resource department, who will only work when the company wants to hire. With the agency, you pay when you seek their services but with the human resource manager, you need to offer a salary every month whether he or she assisted the company in any way or not. Therefore, you can restructure the company’s organizational structure so that the human resource department takes other duties like employee relations or something else that will keep them busy the whole month. You will also save on overtime and other benefits that the employees may demand. This is because the agency that hires them is responsible for additional benefits. In essence, the agency is considered as the rightful employer by law because it is working on your behalf. Therefore, if the candidates want other benefits like medical and insurance policies, the agency should provide them. On the same note, you can take in the candidates for a while on the basis that they are on probation that will lead to permanent employment. This will be included in the employment details you provide to the agency so that the candidates are informed beforehand. With such an arrangement, you can check their ability to achieve the company’s objectives before offering better employment terms. If they do not please you, you have the right to dismiss them once the temporary hire status ends. Professional staffing takes the load off your back and the workers you would have involved in the interviewing panel can go on with other duties.
